Companies working to meet efficiency targets for their air
conditioning systems now have a helping hand thanks to a new Energy
Assessment Service available from leading building services
company, Kimpton.
Explains managing director, RIchard Kimpton: "By law, all air
conditioning systems within a building with a single or combined
effective rated output of more than 12kW must be regularly
inspected by an Energy Assessor, with penalties enforced if
companies fail to commission these inspections".
The companies Energy Assessment Service has been developed to
help companies reduce both the running costs and carbon emissions
of their chillers and air conditioning systems. The company's
accredited Energy Assessors will carry out inspections and assess
users' chillers and air conditioning plant, assisting them with
practical advice on improving efficiency to reduce energy
consumption, costs and carbon emissions. Alternatively, they
may advise replacing older, less efficient or oversized units with
more energy efficient systems and provide suggestions on the best
approach.
Kimpton has a reputation in the North as experts at the
forefront of incorporating renewables technology within the built
environment. The company's accredited Energy Assessors undetake the
inspections and provide an Energy Effiency Report, outling both the
essential and recommended changes necessary to meet and exceed
efficiency targets.
Richard adds, "We have introduced the service and expanded our
team to meet the growing requirement from regional businesses to
measure and maintain efficiency targets. The inspection identifies
areas for improvement and provides workable solutions, ensuring our
clients meet the legal requirements as a minimum, as well as
reducing operating costs with a more efficient approach".
